It is estimated that we spend 70-80% of our time with our various relationships – directly or indirectly. This ratio, of course, depends greatly on our life situation and daily routines.
For example:
- At work : For many, a significant portion of their work time is spent communicating, discussing, and collaborating with others.
- Family and friends : We often spend most of our free time with our loved ones, whether in person or online.
- In thought : Even when we are alone, a significant portion of our time is spent thinking and pondering relationships.
Relationships are therefore not limited to direct interactions – our social life and our relationships with others are constantly present in our lives.
The foundation of truly happy relationships
What makes a happy relationship? It’s not just about the time you spend with someone, it’s about growing together. The goal of a truly supportive relationship is for you to create more – to become better, to inspire each other, and to explore new possibilities together. This will not only be fruitful for you, but will also have an impact on the world around you.
What works and what doesn't?
Many people tend to dwell on the past instead of looking to the future. Truly inspiring relationships are about future possibilities, not about dissecting old problems. If conversations revolve around the news on television, politicians, or other people's actions, they rarely move you forward. The foundation of a happy relationship is mutual support and self-awareness. Be clear about what you need and communicate it.
Tool: Ask a simple question
If you could choose anything, what relationships would you choose? This question will help you sense new possibilities. Pay attention to your awareness and say no to what you need to say no to in order to be who you truly want to be.
How do you get started?
- Notice who surrounds you. Do they support your development?
- Ask yourself, "What kind of relationships do I want, and where are the partners worth creating with?"
- Let go of relationships that don't support your progress.
Your relationships determine your future. Surround yourself with people who not only accept you, but inspire you to be the best version of yourself.
